The storyline of Natalia Dyer’s role as Nancy is left hanging in Stranger Things Season 4 after she seems confused about her feelings between Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) and Steve (Joe Keery) in Stranger Things Season 4. So as a pal of Nancy, Maya Hawke, who plays the role of Robin, reveals the future she wants for her friend in Stranger Things Season 5.

Nancy was first linked to Steve, but the two broke up, making way for the former to start a new romance with Jonathan. But as Steve has shown incredible character development, becoming a fan favorite and providing several comedic relief, will he has a chance to rekindle his romance with Nancy in Stranger Things Season 5?

Maya Hawke Wants a Different Future for Nancy in Stranger Things Season 5

In a video for Vanity Fair with her Do Revenge co-star Camila Mendes, Hawke shared her opinion about Nancy’s confusing love life.

The Riverdale star asked the 24-year-old actor if she thought Nancy belonged to Steve or Jonathan.

But instead of choosing between the two, she based her answer on the career Nancy should pick instead of having a romantic partner.

“I think that Nancy probably belongs outside of Hawkins, working as a reporter,” she said.

Hawke probably saw Nancy’s investigating abilities as a reporter in the series’ third and fourth seasons. Her intelligence and perseverance proved she could be a great reporter in the series.

However, her future seems to depend on her decision if she will choose her goal or her heart in Stranger Things Season 5.

Maya Hawke Wants Robin to be Killed Off in Stranger Things Season 5

As the upcoming Stranger Things Season 5 will be the last of the series, Hawke believes major deaths are happening, and she wants her characters to be killed off.

“Well, it’s the last season, so people are probably going to die,” she told Rolling Stone. “I would love to die and get my hero’s moment. I’d love to die with honor, as any actor would.”

However, she understands that the series creators, Duffer Brothers, are not fond of killing off major characters.

“But I love the way that the Duffer Brothers love their actors. The reason that they write so beautifully for me and for everyone else is because they fall in love with their actors and their characters, and they don’t want to kill them. I think that’s a beautiful quality that they have, and I wouldn’t wish it away.”
