One of the most painful deaths in Stranger Things Season 4 is that of Eddie Munson who, this time, chose to face the demons and not run away like he did the first time when Chrissy Cunningham died. For what it's worth, Vecna actor Jamie Campbell Bower says sorry to the fans for killing the fan-favorite character.
If there is one character in Stranger Things Season 4 that immediately became a fan-favorite, it's Eddie Munson. He easily captured the hearts of the fans from the moment he arrived and broke a lot of it when he died from the bat-like creatures in the Upside Down.
For what it's worth, on the Twitter account of Netflix, Jamie Campbell Bower, the actor who plays Vecna, released a video apologizing to the fans, "I'm here to apologize. I know a lot of people are mad at me. But my apology isn't just for you. It's for the main victim of all this."
In the video, Bower personally apologized to Joseph Quinn and to Chrissy so he brought something that may ease up the tension and hilariously, he brought out a funeral flower arrangement and Joseph Quinn takes it away immediately.
Bower said, "I'm sorry to everyone again, I'll go home and I really will think about what I've done."
The death of Eddie Munson really took a toll on the fans of the show that they even put up a petition on Change.org to bring Eddie back in Stranger Things Season 5 and there are already more or less 50,000 signatures to date. Wild fan theories are also circling around social media on how Eddie will be back in the next installment of the series.

In the Stranger Things Season 4, Eddie got caught up in the Upside Down fiasco when Chrissy Cunningham, a victim of Vecna, died in his trailer and the whole town pointed fingers to Eddie being the perpetrator.
Open to the world of the unknown, Eddie had to stick up with the Hawkins gang who first-handedly fought Vecna until the end but with the guilt of running away after Chrissy's death, Eddie chose to stay put and fight to death. So much for not being a hero as he promised.
Stranger Things Season 4 Volumes 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Netflix.
