A Stranger Things Season 4 release date never seems to be announced, and it's been almost three years since the last season was released on Netflix. Slowly but steadily, however, we're getting there.
When Netflix and the Duffer Brothers, who created the program, hint at something to keep viewers coming back for more, it's a win-win situation. Another possible hint arrived in the form of a cereal box just recently.
When Will Stranger Things Season 4 Air?
A TikTok member with the handle @Nagrom_ recently ordered Stranger Things merchandise from Netflix. The package came with a box of Cheerios in it.
The Cheerios logo was written upside down on the package, with Russian words underneath. The Demogorgon's famed four-petaled face was a shadow in the center of the letter O in "Cheerios." The back of the box featured images of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Max (Sadie Sink) dressed in the outfits they wore on their shopping trip to Starcourt Mall.
While a Stranger Things Season 4 Cheerios box is wonderful in and of itself, the expiration date piqued the interest of some fans. The box's date stamp said, "Best if used by 06JUL2022JF."
This isn't the first time a July release date for Stranger Things Season 4 has been suggested. The Georgia Tour Company shared an image on Instagram in November with the caption, “Looking forward to the release of Season 4 in July 2022.”
The caption was later altered by the company, and the particular date was omitted.
Stranger Things Release Date Could be Announced Next Month
It doesn't take long for information to spread when clues like this appear. Fans have already begun to speculate about a Stranger Things Season 4 release date announcement in February.
"Release date announced Feb. 6th, first trailer somewhere in March or April, and release date July 1," one Redditor wrote.
Regardless, Netflix has been tight-lipped about the exact date. For the time being, fans can only wait.
Stranger Things Season 4 will see the return of the complete main cast. Part of the story will revolve around Hopper, who is currently imprisoned in Kamchatka, Russia. Back in the U.S., the gang will face a new monster that is far more terrifying than anything they've seen before.
We could see some substantial changes in character relationships now that a year has elapsed in-universe since the last season.
