Stranger Things Season 4 Casting News Could Confirm Plans for Fifth Season

We're still waiting for Stranger Things Season 4 but it looks like Netflix is already looking towards the future. New casting info for a new character may have confirmed that a fifth season is already being planned.

The news comes from Murphy's Multiverse which reveals that the series is currently looking for an actor to play a new character that will be introduced in the fourth season.

"Season 4 will introduce a new series regular, 'Ashe.' The studio is searching for a mid-20s American male of any ethnicity to play the role which comes with a 2 season deal, meaning the character's arc, described as integral to the new season, will not be resolved until Season 5!" the report reads.

It's still unclear whether 'Ashe' will be connected to the people who are still in Hawkins or if he might be one of the new people that the Byers family (and Eleven) will be meeting. Nevertheless, the news has people excited knowing that there will be a fifth season to look forward to.

There's a lot to be excited about when it comes to Season 4. After all, we could finally find out if Hopper actually survived the events in the previous season finale. Although it appears that Hopper was killed in The Battle of Starcourt, the post-credits scene also offered some hope for fans who believe that David Harbour will be back in the upcoming season.

Stranger Things Season 4 has not yet been given an official release date.
