Stranger Things Season 3: David Harbour Low-Key Spoiled the Finale A Day Before the Premiere

[SPOILERS FOR STRANGER THINGS SEASON 3]

Stranger Things Season 3 had ended with a shocker that Jim Hopper (David Harbour) died in an explosion closing the portal to the Upside Down. Nobody saw it coming, but Harbour himself had actually spoiled the fate of his character a day before the premiere.

Talking to Entertainment Weekly on July 3 (the premiere was on the 4th), Harbour teased about the season, "I was blown away by episode 8." If you've watched the show, you'll know that's exactly what happens to Hopper—literally.

If anything, a lot of fans hope that Hopper is still alive. The post-credits scene did tease us about an "American" that was being locked up in that Russian facility. Could it be Hopper? We don't really know, but everyone thought that Eleven had died by the end of Season 1, but she was alive and well come the 2nd season of the show. Who's to say the writers won't try the same thing on ol' Jim Hopper?

Maybe Hopper was teleported to Russia during the explosion? We don't really have a gauge of what the Upside Down can do, but it's kind of like the Force from Star Wars—it can pretty much do whatever the story needs it to do.

For now, you can catch another amazing season of Stranger Things out on Netflix.
