Stranger Things Producer Says There’ll Be Lots Of Fun To Balance The Darkness Of Season 3


Stranger Things might try to up the ante when it comes to its dark, horror elements when it returns to Netflix with its third season, but Shawn Levey, the producer of the popular science fiction-horror series, also says that they're going to balance it out with fun and adventure.

Levey was recently speaking with fans about the highly anticipated season of Stranger Things, addressing worried fans concerns that the third batch of episodes of the series might end up being too dark to enjoy. According to the producer, fans have nothing to be concerned about, because while the series will try to tap deeper into the Upside-Down, it'll also make sure that there's a lot of light summer fun as well.

Right now, the third season of Stranger Things is still in the middle of production with fans patiently waiting for leaks and photos taken from the series' sets. There's been very few official promotional releases for Stranger Things third season aside from the cute new promo where fans get taken to an Hawkins Mall and an ice cream store where Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) now works. Thankfully, Levey's given fans a few heads-up about what to expect from the new season both darkness and summer fun.

Stranger Things season 3 is set to debut sometime in 2019.
