Will The Mandalorian Season 4 have any stories left to tell, or has the show spoken?

While The Mandalorian Season 3 certainly has its fans, there are many within the Star Wars community who feel the show has run out of steam.

In other words, there's nothing left in the Bacta tank anymore. Seasons 1 and 2 had pretty solid overarching plots, but Season 3 really stretches things thin.

And this is pretty obvious from the get-go. In fact, it's obvious before the show even begins, as all the signs were there in The Book of Boba Fett (2021).

When The Mandalorian Season 2 reached its explosive finale, in which Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) whisks Grogu from Din Djarin, all seemed well.

And by well, we aren't referring to the fact that Din Djarin no longer had to bear the responsibility of protecting a young child from the Empire.

We mean that it felt like a natural ending to the show. Many of us didn't even think the series would continue beyond that finale.

But, of course, we were very wrong. In fact, creator Jon Favreau recently said that Season 4 is already in development, and wants to do at least five.

But getting back to our point, it was really the spin-off show The Book of Boba Fett where the cracks in The Mandalorian's Beskar armor began to appear.

It was bizarre watching Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) show up in the spin-off show. While he was due to return the favor to Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison), it was strange because of how much attention he got in a show that's not even his.

Two of the episodes are dedicated to Din Djarin almost in their entirety, to the point where the original bounty hunter feels completely redundant.

But what feels even more redundant is the ending of The Mandalorian Season 2, because before you can say "Baby Yoda", Grogu decides he'd rather go back to Din Djarin than continue with his Jedi training with Luke Skywalker.

As a result, Season 3 is a wasted opportunity. Though we all love Grogu, seeing him back with Din Djarin renders Season 2's conclusion completely pointless.

As such, it makes us wonder whether The Mandalorian Season 4 even has any more stories left to tell.

Sure, there are plenty of "side-quests" Din Djarin and Grogu will undoubtedly undertake, but now that Bo-Katan Kryze's story is also seemingly over, and with Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) having been blown to smithereens, what else is there left to do?

This is the way, huh? Which way is that, Mando?
