Stephen Amell Welcomes Ruby Rose To The CW Arrowverse Family

The Arrowverse family is certainly growing. Arrow star Stephen Amell has officially welcomed Ruby Rose to The CW with a supportive message for the new Batwoman.

Fans were recently delighted when it was announced that the Orange is the New Black actress has been cast as Kate Kane for The CW's planned Batwoman TV series. Rose herself was elated with the casting, admitting that she became emotional on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Could Amell's welcome note posted on Twitter elicit a similar reaction?

Amell certainly sounds hopeful about the future of Arrowverse. After all, shows like The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Black Lightning have been very successful. Although Rose is set to debut in a major crossover event between the DC TV shows, the Pitch Perfect 3 actress will eventually lead her own series.

It's certainly a huge role and Rose is well aware of that. The xXx: Return of Xander Cage star confessed that the announcement about the casting was made at a rather bad time.

"I found out an hour before I did the premiere for The Meg and I was so nervous during the red carpet that I basically skipped everybody because I was worried that... because I kept like spontaneously crying. I feel like I'm probably going to do it now. I kept thinking like what do I say, because everyone always says, 'So what have you got planned next?' And I kept thinking, either I'm going to put my foot in it and accidentally say something or I'm going to just start crying, and they're going to be like... she doesn't look so good. But yeah, I'm so thrilled."

The Batwoman TV series is not the only thing Rose has to look forward to in the future. She is set to reprise her role as the mute assassin Ares in John Wick: Chapter 3.

Rose's latest film The Meg is currently in theaters worldwide.
