While Stephen Amell's time as Green Arrow may be over, fans would still want him to make an appearance in other Arrowverse shows one way or another. The multiverse has shown numerous ways for a character to come back, either it be a flashback sequence or even another version of the character. That said, is Amell open to return to the Arrowverse?
This question was asked on his Instagram live stream (via EW) on Tuesday that addresses some of the fans' questions amidst the coronavirus pandemic. For those who were expecting the actor to appear as Arrow on other shows, it's not looking good. "No, I'm done," Amell said with a smile. "That was good. It was a good eight years but it was time to be done."
It was actually really really weird to watch The CW again," the actor added. "It was weird seeing promos for Supergirl and Flash and Batwoman again." Amell says it felt like it was a "different lifetime," and pointed out that he won't likely be doing that again.
Amell's Oliver Queen died in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event. He then returned as Spectre and created the new Earth-Prime, followed by an appearance in flashback sequences in the series finale of Arrow.
That said, fans are still hopeful for his return. After all, showrunner Marc Guggenheim revealed in a previous interview that making Arrow into Spectre was to give them story opportunities because the future is still uncertain. "The one thing I always say every time a character dies on any of these shows, is like, we've got alternate realities, we've got time travel, we've got flashbacks, you name it," he said. "We have all these different devices. No one's ever really gone."
