In Rebel Moon, Staz Nair plays the role of Tarak, a captive with a royal past. His character is among those that Kora (played by Sofia Boutella) recruits to fight against imperialists.
Aside from Tarak, the warriors that Kora recruits include Gunnar (played by Michiel Huisman), Kai (played by Charlie Hunnam), General Titus (played by Djimon Hounsou), Nemesis (played by Bae Doona), and Milius (played by E. Duffy).

Who is Tarak in Rebel Moon? Character Explained
Staz Nair, in Rebel Moon, plays Tarak, a Neu Wodi prince who later becomes a rancher's servant to pay off his debt. He is described as a nobleman who becomes a blacksmith.
Since he is indebted to the rancher, he first refuses to join the Veldt resistance led by Kora. But after some time, he decides to be part of the group.
Tarak is bilingual. He can speak Samandritan and English. He has the ability to tame beasts, especially bennus, which are griffin-like beasts. In the trailer, he can be seen riding the bennu into combat.
Zack Snyder is working on Rebel Moon: Part 2: The Scargiver, which will give a look into Tarak's backstory. It should reveal more information about Tarak's past and how he became a slave in the first place. This movie will be coming out in April 2024.

Where You Might Have Seen Staz Nair From
Staz Nair is a British singer and actor who gained popularity for his role as Qhono in Game of Thrones. He was also in Supergirl as William Dey. He also starred as Rocky in The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again.
Before he got cast in GoT, Nair was part of Times Red, a band that competed in the TV series, The X Factor. Although they got to audition in front of the judges, they failed to become a finalist in the show. Nevertheless, the band managed to release their album, Just No Good for Me, in March 2013.
