Stargirl Poster Reveals First Look at the JSA and the Injustice Society

The moment DC fans have all been waiting for has finally arrived; our first look at the JSA in DC Universe's Stargirl. Fans might find it a bit odd that this isn't the old-school JSA they grew up with but a new set of characters who have inherited the identities of their predecessors. We also get our first look at the show's version of the Injustice Society, which we didn't expect to see right away.

Honestly, just like the DC Universe Titans show, these costumes are pretty great. The show has managed to give us costumes that pay tribute to the comics while also making them look a bit practical. Hopefully, the writing and action do this show justice but when you consider the mixed reaction fans have to Titans, this is going to be a wait-and-see scenario.

From original creator and comic book writer Geoff Johns, DC'S Stargirl follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger) as she moves to Blue Valley, Nebraska after her mother remarries Pat Dugan (Luke Wilson) and inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. The live-action superhero drama reimagines the 1999 Stargirl comics and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in an unpredictable series. DC'S Stargirl is lovingly inspired by Johns' late sister, who was killed in a plane accident.

Stargirl will debut on DC Universe on May 18 and then The CW on May 19.
