While the new Star Wars games such as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars: Squadrons has been delighting fans all across the galaxies, there's no denying that the charm of the classics will forever live on. That being said, Xbox One is finally adding the iconic Star Wars Episode I: Racer to their catalog and it's the return you probably didn't see coming but it's still pretty much welcome. Avid gamers have played this endlessly when it first came out back in 1999 and now, you can relive the thrill of podracing in iconic locations in the Skywalker saga.

The game is still pretty much the same and doesn't exactly include new features or updated graphics aside from "modernized controls and achievements" but that's the beauty of it. It's a fun throwback that will drown you in sheer nostalgia. The good folks over at Aspyr Media unveiled its launch trailer online and I'm pretty positive that it will put a huge smile on your faces especially if you grew up loving the original racing game.

Now, 20 something years after Star Wars Racer first debuted, its arrival to new generation consoles such as the PS4, Nintendo Switch, and now the Xbox One will surely attract a new generation of Star Wars fanatics who haven't played the said video game. The success of it could also opt Lucasarts and Aspyr to finally come up with a long-overdue sequel or maybe even a modern-day update.

Star Wars Episode I: Racer is on sale now for $15 on the Microsoft Store.
