Star Wars: Zachary Levi Volunteers to Play Dash Rendar

There is little doubt that any actor would jump at the chance to appear in a Star Wars film. Interestingly, Zachary Levi already has some ideas on who he should portray if he ever joined the Star Wars Universe. The Shazam! star has admitted that he would like to play Dash Rendar from Shadows of the Empire.

A fan recently reached out to Levi on Twitter asking if which character he would be interested to play in a Star Wars movie. Take a look at his response below.

Dash Rendar is certainly an awesome character to see on the big screen. However, Dash has only appeared in the Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire game as well as the novel. Unfortunately, the character has never appeared in the films and yet it looks like fans, including Levi, are still holding on to hope that he will eventually show up in the movie.

Interestingly, a Star Wars film had somehow made Dash canon again. In the 2018 book Solo: A Star Wars Story: Tales of Vandor, an entry made a direct reference to Dash. In addition to that, there was a quote from him about Han Solo.

"Han got that route from Chewie. And Chewie got it from the Wookiee scouts who helped the Republic back in the Clone Wars. Next time Han's here, ask him and watch how fast he changes the subject. Han Solo, ha. If I'm around, you don't need that guy," Dash reportedly said.

It's still unclear if Dash will ever show up in a Star Wars movie. Nevertheless, we're waiting for an update on this story.
