Star Wars: Watch Leaked Sizzle Reel for The Mandalorian

The Star Wars Celebration panel for The Mandalorian took place today, but Lucasfilm has opted not to officially release anything online—much to the dismay of fans who couldn't come to Celebration. Thanks to Coffee with Kenobi on Youtube though, we get to see the sizzle reel that was screened at the panel.

Check it out:

The reel actually gives us a lot of info on the show, and Favreau himself confirms that The Mandalorian takes place five years after Return of the Jedi. What's interesting is, though we know the Emperor was already killed at this time, we could still see some Imperial remnants hanging around, and it would be fun to see how they interact with the "scum and villainy" crowd of Star Wars.

Though the character isn't Boba or Jango Fett, it looks like the central character for the show will still be in the same line of business, meaning he's a mercenary bounty hunter. Besides him, we know that other bounty hunters we've seen before will be part of the show, and it's likely they'll be teaming up with him to pull off different jobs.

There was also said to be a clip of the actual show screened, but we don't really have any of that online. I guess we'll just have to wait till Lucasfilm releases something official online.

The Mandalorian is expected to launch alongside Disney's streaming service, Disney+, so it's likely it will release on Nov. 12 later this year.
