Star Wars: Was George Lucas Involved in The Clone Wars Season 7?

Are you ready for Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7? The premiere episode is set to drop today and we won't post any spoilers about it just yet. However, there's one thing that is quite noticeable at the end of The Bad Batch. Did the episode just confirm that George Lucas is involved in the final season?

At the end of The Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 1, the credits include something we haven't seen for a long time: a credit stating "Created by George Lucas". But does this mean that Lucas is still very much involved in how the animated series is going to end?

First of all, it's important to point out that Lucas did create The Clone Wars and was involved in its development during the first few seasons. Lucas is even credited as one of the executive producers of the series. Screenrant even pointed out that Lucas was given "created and executive produced by" credit from the start.

Naturally, things have changed since Disney procured Lucasfilm and Star Wars. Nevertheless, there is no denying that Lucas is the creator of Star Wars and The Clone Wars. Unfortunately, the credit in the final season doesn't mean that Lucas is involved with the final season.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 is set to be the final season for the animated series. It is expected to connect the show to the events that take place in the prequel trilogy film Revenge of the Sith. The premiere episode The Bad Batch will air on Disney+ on February 21.
