Ahsoka might have finally made her long-awaited return in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, however, fans still seemed to be bothered by the former Padawan's status in the Jedi order. Can Ahsoka still be considered a Jedi?

Speaking in an interview with ComicBook.com on the ComicBook Nation podcast to talk about her upcoming Star Wars children's book, I am A Padawan, Ahsoka Tano voice actress Ashley Eckstein tries to discuss Ahsoka's status. Sure, Ahsoka might have left the Jedi Order in the fifth season of the Clone Wars, but Anakin Skywalker's former Padawan continues to fight for the Rebellion. Does Ahsoka's propensity to do what's right make her a Jedi?

Eckstein says that it's complicated.

"That's a great question. I'm gonna preface this by saying this is just my opinion and how I define it because all story questions definitely should go to Dave Filoni," the voice actress began. "Sometimes when I say stuff people think like, oh that's it she knows stuff and it's scanned in and truly this is just my opinion but in my opinion, Ahsoka was trained in the Jedi Temple, Jedi are supposed to be keepers of the peace, you know peacekeepers, and they're supposed to help people and do good and bring hope and Ahsoka takes that very seriously and she walked away from the Jedi order because her trust was broken and she no longer kind of believed and she knew what she believed but she no longer believed that they stood for that after what happened to her."

Ahsoka might have left the Jedi Order, however, Eckstein believes that her character continues to represent the light side of the Force. Even after leaving the Jedi, Ahsoka continues to do what's right. In Star Wars Rebels, fans get to see an odler Ahsoka taking on the role as Fulcrum, a Rebel informant providing missions and intelligence to the Rebellion in its fight against the Galactic Empire.

In Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker fans get to hear Ahsoka's voice along with the other Jedi guiding Rey (Daisy Ridley) in her battle against Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid).

Ahsoka might not be a Jedi in name, but in her core, she really is one of the Jedi.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is currently streaming on Disney+.
