There's been a lot of news about Ahsoka the past few days. Not only did the former Padawan of Anakin Skywalker return to television in the seventh season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, but the character seemingly managed to land a spot in the second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian with reports saying that Marvel Netflix star Rosario Dawson would be playing the role.
Now, it looks like Ahsoka Tano is getting a book catering to a new generation of Star Wars fans.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels voice actress Ashley Eckstein just recently wrote a Little Golden Book about Ahsoka called I am Padawan. The book is part of Little Golden Book's "I am a" Star Wars series and is set for release on April 7.
Speaking in an interview with Bleeding Cool, Eckstein talks about her new book and what it means to be able to write from Ahsoka's point of view.
"To take a couple steps back, to how I even got here to the point of being able to write the book. One thing that I am forever grateful for by becoming the voice of Ahsoka, because being the voice of Ahsoka has truly changed my life for the better in so many different ways," the Ahsoka voice actress told the entertainment news outlet.
Eckstein also talks about how good it feels to write for Little Golden Books. Like many young children her age, the Star Wars voice actress grw up reading Little Golden Books.
"I think it was the fastest I have ever said yes to anything in my entire life. I said yes, and then I kind of had a panic moment of like "oh gosh, can I do this?" But I knew how much Little Golden Books meant to me, and this was truly like a bucket list item," Eckstein explained.
It looks like Ahsoka really is coming back in a big way this year, and we definitely can't wait for I am a Padawan to hit shelves.
