Star Wars: Visions Gets New Manga on Big Gangan


It looks like Star Wars: Visionsions is in for an exciting year. It has been revealed that the episodes of the first season will get their own manga that will be published in Square Enix's Big Gangan magazine!

The May issue of Big Gangan announced that it will be publishing the first manga adaptation of Star Wars: Visions in its next issue. The new issue will also feature the manga of The Mandalorian which could adapt the first season of the series where Din Djarin first encounters Grogu aka Baby Yoda.

It has not yet been revealed which episode of Visions will be published on May 25, 2022. However, there will be more episodes getting their own manga on Big Gangan.

The Elder character designer Kamome Shirahama will illustrate the episode's adaptation for the magazine's June issue. Haruichi's adaptation of Lop and Ocho will be featured in the July issue while Yusuke Osawa will draw the adaptation of The Ninth Jedi in the August issue. Keisuke Sato has also been confirmed to work on the adaptation of The Twins in the September issue of Big Gangan.

Osawa is also working on the manga adaptation of The Mandalorian that will be published in the upcoming issue. It is not yet clear if Osawa will work on more chapters in the succeeding issues. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

But are we getting a second season of Star Wars: Visions? Executive producer James Waugh had previously stated that Season 2 is possible but says the renewal is up to fans.

"We'll see what happens. Let's see how the response is this anthology, and I hope it's as positive as your experience, which makes me really happy we did," Waugh said.

The new issue of Big Gangan will be published on Monday, May 25, 2022.
