Star Wars Video Counts How Many Times Stormtroopers Missed Their Target

While some fans take themselves a bit too seriously, those that follow Star Wars are usually smart enough to see some of the franchise's funniest moments and make them memes. The memes are usually funnier when the moment being parodied was meant to be taken seriously. Well, LucasFilm has decided to make fun of itself and made a video that shows how many times Stormtroopers have missed their targets; the easiest joke to make if you're a Star Wars fan.

Funnily enough, the video from Star Wars Kids only counts moments Stormtroopers missed shooting our heroes during Star Wars: A New Hope. This movie is probably where fans started making fun of these movie grunts as the video counts 296 missed shots. No, seriously, 296 missed shots in one movie. Wow.

Some fans will probably take umbrage with one part of the movie, which is where Stormtroopers intentionally let the Rebels escape so that Vader could track them down later. The Sith Lord even confirmed this in a scene later on, so maybe that scene shouldn't count.

Then again, they still didn't shoot anyone so that probably still counts.

Directed and co-written by J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: Episode IX stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Keri Russell, Matt Smith, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams, and Carrie Fisher, with Naomi Ackie and Richard E. Grant. The film is scheduled to open on December 20.
