2023 is shaping up to be a huge year for fans of the Knights of the Old Republic series as the beloved Star Wars video game is set to celebrate 20 years since its release. Of course, most of you are already aware by now that Aspyr is currently working on a KOTOR remake and although the legacy game isn't coming out until 2025 at the earliest, Star Wars is already delivering the goods to gratify the fandom's restlessness.

Hasbro recently unveiled an upcoming Black Series line that will see some of the characters from KOTOR and how they'd look in the upcoming remake. During MCM Comic-Con London (via The Direct), figures for Bastila Shan & Darth Malak were unveiled.

The character designs are barely noticeable if we're being honest, with both Shan and Malak pretty much retaining aspects from their original looks in the game. The 6-inch action figures are slated to hit stores in August 2023. Check it out here:

In other gaming news, it was recently reported that Disney is adamant about releasing multiple games in one calendar year. Insider Gaming reported last September that the House of Mouse requested Lucasfilm to guarantee that a new Star Wars video game will be released every six months. With creators recently exposing Disney over poor working conditions, it'll be interesting to see how this proposed scheme will turn out.

Other details about the Knights of the Old Republic remake are still being kept under wraps. Meanwhile, the franchise's next video game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is expected to drop in March 2023.
