Star Wars: Thrawn Stands With Vader In Cover For Thrawn Alliances Novel

Timothy Zhan had created Grand Admiral Thrawn back in the past, but now he's providing new stories with the character with Lucasfilm. A Star Wars book has come out called Thrawn: Alliances, and the cover has Thrawn standing alongside Darth Vader.

Check it out:

There aren't really any specifics on what the story is, but we do know that Vader is going to be one reluctant player. We already know that he doesn't play well with others, but what is he going to do next to one the Empire's most coveted geniuses?

Thrawn is one of those lucky characters who used to be part of the defunct expanded universe, but has now been made part of the canon lore. Let's hope that he gets popular enough to eventually get an appearance in any of the live-action films. I know fans would go crazy over a live-action Thrawn.

With Star Wars Rebels having a few more episodes left for its last season, a lot of fans are hoping that Thrawn gets his shining villain movement. He's known for being ruthless and cunning, but so far fans of the show feel like we've only been getting glimpses of that.

Thrawn: Alliances is set for a release summer of 2018, but you may be able to catch more Thrawn in Star Wars Rebels on Disney XD.
