There's a good reason why people are looking forward to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. After all, it's the last film in the Skywalker Saga and we're all just a little curious about how it will all end. But also, we want to know what's the deal with those cool-looking red troopers called the Sith Troopers, right? Luckily, we finally get to see them in action in a new TV spot.
The new teaser features some surprising new footage including a sweeping shot showing the Knights of Ren standing on top of a cliff like they're shooting a Guns N' Roses music video. There's also more of the Sandcrawler chase involving all the heroes including Rey as well as Kylo Ren multitasking as he impales a Knight of Ren and uses the Force on an unseen attacker. But then, you see a flash of red and explosions and you just need to take another look.
Yes, we have our first live-action look at the Sith Troopers and they're already shooting at someone. Right now, we can't tell if they are better shots than the regular Stormtroopers but it won't be long until we find out, right?
The Sith Troopers were first confirmed back in July and although we don't know much about these cool red troopers just yet, there's a huge chance that they will be guarding a high-ranking First Order leader (you know, like Kylo Ren). We've already seen the similarly-hued Elite Praetorian Guards in action in The Last Jedi and they were really good at what they do, so we're hoping that the Sith Troopers will also live up to the hype.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will premiere on December 20.
