The Star Wars sequel trilogy has shown the complex relationship between Adam Driver's Kylo Ren and Daisy Ridley's Rey. This all led up to their epic Death Star lightsaber fight in The Rise of Skywalker. As it turns out, this scene was actually filmed on Driver's special day.

In The Skywalker Legacy documentary (via Nerdist), it was revealed that one of the film's most difficult stunt sequences was partially shot on Driver's birthday, November 19th. It was previously revealed by stunt coordinator Eunice Huthart in the documentary preview that Driver wants to do his own Kylo Ren stunts and is very dedicated to playing the role. As stated by the outlet, this led to the actor filming the saber duel with Ridley on his birthday.

While it was a tiring to film, he admits that he enjoyed the experience. "It was really physically exhausting, and we were wet and soaked and cold and on wires–I loved it," Driver shared. "How many times are you gonna get a chance to do that?" You can check out that epic saber fight once again in the clip below:

Though the digital version doesn't include deleted scenes, the feature-length documentary features behind-the-scenes content that shows the process of making Episode IX as well as the quirky, adorable, and funny takes in between amongst the cast and crew.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be released on 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD on March 31st.
