It's been around two months since Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was released and as expected, a comic book adaptation is in the works. While there will be extended scenes to be featured in the Marvel comics, it'll also include a fan-favorite scene.
One of the most pivotal moments from The Rise of Skywalker is where Ben Solo finally gets his redemption and fights against the Knights of Ren. The trademark shrug was truly an epic scene and a cool way to show that while he has once turned to the Dark Side, he is still very similar to his father Han Solo.
In an article released by Star Wars, The Rise of Skywalker comic writer Jody Houser confirmed that the said part will be included in the comic as well. "Almost definitely yes," she said. "It's both a fan-favorite scene, and the moment we truly see him as his father's son, so that would be hard to leave out!"
Aside from that, there's still a lot more to explore within each of the scenes of the film. Since Episode IX is a big movie, Houser admits that adaptations are always a challenge, since it has to be a good balance of adding and leaving out parts. "With such a big movie working to wrap up so much story, that's definitely an added level of difficulty," Houser added.
