Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker: C-3PO's Anthony Daniels Shares Set Photo of Himself with BB-8 and D-O

With the way the Star Wars fanbase is, most actors in the franchise opt to avoid social media, but C-3PO Anthony Daniels will share things online from time to time. Just in, he's posted up a new photo of himself on IG half dressed up with droid characters BB-8 and D-O.

Here's the photo:

It's very fun to see how much of the original costume made it into the modern iterations. I mean, Daniels is covered head-to-toe in plates and "armor" but his belly is obviously the more open part of the outfit, with the wires put there to cover his actual body.

As for C-3PO's role in The Rise of Skywalker, we've only had hints that his character could be undergoing a drastic change with the ominous scenes we've gotten. If anything, Abrams will probably find a great way to send the character off, seeing as he's been a part of every major conflict in Star Wars.

Despite being comic relief, 3PO remains to be one of the most beloved characters in Star Wars, and I have a feeling that his appearance in TROS may be the last. Then again, Daniels has appeared in anthology films like Rogue One and Solo as well, so maybe he would want to keep going until he can't anymore.

Catch Daniels in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker which hits theaters Dec. 20.
