It looks like that #WheresRose hashtag has done wonders for the character since recent Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker promotional material has actually featured her. This is great news since it stops those dumb rumors of Rose being removed entirely since a certain sector of fans didn't like her for the wrong reasons, to the point that they harassed her out of social media.
Yes, the character is flawed and said one stupid line but that doesn't mean you should insult an actress for doing her job.

Anyway, fans on Reddit have spotted an updated Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker banner that not only features Rose Tico but newcomer Jannah, who may or may not be Lando's daughter. The speculation isn't because she's black but because the actress was asked about it and gave a vague answer. Either way, it's cool seeing them get advertised in a more prominent manner.
Considering how this movie is going to introduce a bunch of new characters, better advertising is a good thing. After all, this will be the final Star Wars movie in the Skywalker Saga, so letting fans know that there are more characters who aren't Rey, Finn, or Kylo Ren is a smart move. Hopefully, the movie fleshes out these characters well since introducing new characters in a final installment could be seen as a bad move to some.
However you feel about Rose Tico or Star Wars in general, it's good seeing more characters get some love. Now, let's all hope that The Rise of Skywalker ends this long saga on a high note.
