Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Alternate Ending Debunked

In case you missed it, there have been reports about an alternate ending for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker that completely changes everything about the film. But does it actually exist? It looks like the truth has finally been revealed.

The original report came from Popcorn Talk and features an actor named Juan Bautista who allegedly played one of the Knights of Ren. In the interview, Bautista was asked about the other ending for The Rise of Skywalker and he almost mentions Daisy Ridley's name.

"The rumor is that ... Dai -- I don't know if I should say the name. She does croak and Kylo was the one who was supposed to take up the name for Skywalker. Which makes sense..." Bautista said.

Not surprisingly, Star Wars fans have gone nuts with the possible alternate ending. Unfortunately, it looks like this might not real at all. The video has since been removed and Conde Nast's Adam Lance Garcia confirmed that Bautista wasn't part of the cast of Episode IX.

Sadly, this means that we won't get to see an alternate ending where Ben Solo actually survives and takes up the Skywalker name. Although fans would probably want to see Ben live happily ever after, it's just not meant to be.

It was previously reported that Star Wars fans were begging Disney and Lucasfilm to give Ben a better conclusion with the hashtag #SaveBenSolo and #BenSoloDeservedBetter. They pointed out that the character was supposed to survive consider everything that he has been through. Unfortunately, it looks like Ben's fate will not be changed anytime soon.
