Star Wars: The Mandalorian’s Pedro Pascal Shares Concept Art Of His Character

It looks like Star Wars fans have a lot to talk about this week. Yesterday Lucasfilm made the announcement confirming the cast for its first ever live-action Star Wars series, revealing new additions to the show like Breaking Bad star Giancarlo Esposito and American God's Omid Abtahi.

Now, to celebrate the announcement confirming his role as the lead star of the series, Game of Thrones' Pedro Pascal has decided to share a bit of concept art for fans to feast over online. Taking to Instagram, Pascal decided to post some concept art of his character in The Mandalorian, an unnamed Mandalorian gunslinger who's rumored to take in a child to train to become the ruler of Mandalore.

Check out the gunslinger down here:

With his Mandalorian helmet and his armor, Pascal's character looks every bit of a warrior. Although there's very little information about the character, fans do know that the series is going to be set in the outer reaches of the galaxy after the fall of the Empire in the original trilogy and before the rise of the First Order in the sequel trilogy.

The very first official photo of The Mandalorian showed us Pascal's warrior in a place that looks very much like the junk market littered in Tatooine, though it's very likely that we might find ourselves in an entirely different planet once the series actually plays.

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pascal, Carl Weathers, Gina Carano, Esposito, Abtahi, Emily Swallow, Werner Herzog, and Nick Nolte.

The series is expected to premiere sometime in 2019 on Disney+.
