Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 Trailer Gets New Updates

Last week, the Star Wars fanbase was buzzing in hopes of seeing Lucasfilm drop the very first trailer for Star Wars: The Mandalorian season 2. Writers and insiders from reputable sites like Kessel Run Transmissions and LRM Online spread the word that the trailer for the next season of The Mandalorian would release during the Trail Blazers vs. Los Angeles Lakers game last week.

Unfortunately, the trailer never came around, disappointing expectant Star Wars fans.

Now, it seems like Slash Film writer Adam Frazier has a new update about the missing Mandalorian trailer. According to Frazier, the trailer was ready for last week's NBA playoffs, however, plans for the preview changed, "and now there isn't a timetable for when or where it's going to premiere."

Despite all this uncertainty, Frazier has an interesting proposition – perhaps Lucasfilm is planning its own FanDome-esque event for Star Wars and for The Mandalorian?

That would certainly be a treat.

Lucasfilm has been keeping mum about its plans for the franchise. Last week, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy went on an interview with The Wrap to say that Star Wars was taking a step back. Aside from that and a short discussion about the overwhelming popularity of Baby Yoda, Kennedy refrained from making major announcements about future Star Wars projects.

Perhaps Lucasfilm will begin The Mandalorian's marketing campaign in September, a month before the series is set to return with its second season on Disney+. We'll just have to keep our eyes peeled.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian season 2 is expected to premiere sometime in October on Disney+.
