The first season of The Mandalorian has yet to premiere on Disney+ but it looks like Lucasfilm and Disney are already confident about how the new series will turn out. Jon Favreau has just confirmed that The Mandalorian Season 2 is already in development and could begin production soon.
Favreau recently spoke to Collider where he admitted that he has started writing the second season of The Mandalorian.
If you think it's all going a little too fast, Favreau also confessed that the second season is currently in pre-production. However, the Lion King director explained that it has a lot to do with the way the show is being filmed.
This is the same process used for The Lion King and it could be pretty effective in getting things done. With that in mind, it's good to know that The Mandalorian is getting a second season even before the first one has aired.
The Mandalorian will premiere on Disney+ on November 12.
