Star Wars: The Mandalorian Might Actually Feature Boba Fett

People are still stunned that Disney has decided to kill the highly anticipated Boba Fett standalone movie. However, it looks like the Star Wars character might actually make an appearance in Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian.

There is much excitement over the new TV series that will follow a mysterious character. Although the identity of the lead character has not yet been confirmed, ScreenRant suggests that he might have some interesting connections to Boba Fett.

The report points out the similarities between the lead character and the mysterious protagonist in the canceled LucasArts game Star Wars 1313. Both appear to favor a lighter armor without the chest plate and fingerless gloves. In addition to that, they both wear their rifle on the left shoulder.

Naturally, this led to speculations that the lead character in The Mandalorian might be Boba Fett. After all, Star Wars 1313 was supposed to revolve around the young bounty hunter as he explores the dark areas of Coruscant. However, there is still a possibility that the series will focus on a different character who is somehow connected to Boba.

It was previously reported that The Mandalorian might focus on Cobb Vanth, a character that appeared in Chuck Wendig's Aftermath book series. The former slave is said to have found Boba's armor and wears it to defend the people of Tatooine. However, this is still based on theory so it's best to take it with a grain of salt.

The Mandalorian has not yet been given an official premiere date. The series is currently in production and is expected to air on Disney's streaming service in 2019.
