Star Wars The Last Jedi: First Official Look At Kylo Ren’s TIE Silencer

We've been getting some leaked Lego images of some upcoming ships in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but now we have our official first look at Kylo Ren's starship which has been dubbed the TIE Silencer. The Star Wars Show gives us our first peek.

You can skip to the 1:00 mark to see the Silencer.

Though I admit that I miss the circular center that's uniform with all TIE ships, this looks like a good mix between the TIE Advanced and the TIE Interceptor. It also has the same "window" aesthetic on the cockpit that's reminiscent of most TIE models.

The Silencer's most recognizable feature is probably the wings which it borrows from the Interceptor, albeit the wings on this one seem to be longer. We also get the first look at the back of the ship, and it seems to have the same thrusters as the Millennium Falcon. The broader back does also harken to Vader's TIE Advanced.

I'm really eager to see The Last Jedi bring some more space battles since I felt that the one from Force Awakens didn't live up to the original. Sure I wanted to see Poe do some stuff with the X-Wings, but the stakes were just raised higher with Rey and Kylo's duel.

You know what's epic though? The space battle from Rogue One. Everything was just perfect.

Hopefully Kylo, Finn, and Rey take to the skies in Star Wars: The Last Jedi which comes out Dec. 15.
