The world of Star Wars has been all about the fight between the Jedi and the Sith right from the start and the latest animated short from Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures focuses on how it has affected the entire Skywalker Saga.
The short opens with a young Anakin Skywalker saying, "You're a Jedi Knight, aren't you?" when he meets Qui-Gon Jinn. The Jedi Master immediately picks up on Anakin being strong in the Force and takes him to the Jedi Council. But before that, he has to face Darth Maul.
There is a brief montage on how Anakin grows from an innocent little boy into an apprentice to Obi-Wan Kenobi. The fight between them and Count Dooku eventually depicts the two men against each other on the fiery planet of Mustafar. However, the fight continues as the older Obi-Wan takes on Darth Vader as he tells Luke Skywalker about the Jedi Knight that assisted the Empire in tracking down and killing the Jedi Knights.
The short then shows Luke's training with Yoda and his face-off against his own father before we hear Maz Kanata speak. "That lightsaber was Luke's and his father's before him, and now it calls to you," she says as Rey brings the weapon back to the older Luke. It doesn't take long before Rey is training and fighting Kylo Ren.
The Jedi Vs Sith short certainly summarizes the entire Skywalker Saga in only just a little over a minute. However, it's an action-packed tribute to the heroes and villains of a tale that will conclude with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
