Since the show has been canceled in 2013, Star Wars fans have been patiently waiting to see the conclusion of The Clone Wars. Finally, after six years, the seventh and last season of the highly-anticipated animated series just made its debut and it even has the best collaborator yet.

Speaking to IndieWire, executive producer Dave Filoni revealed that he still keeps in touch with George Lucas to get his take into consideration for the show. "We still talk and if I'm stuck I will bug George for ideas," he said. "He is the canon. He created it and I respect that."

Filoni also pointed out that one of his jobs and "purposes" is to "keep things as intact to what George laid down as possible," which many fans would surely appreciate.

"It is for kids -- George would always say that over the years," Filoni continued. However, he says the beauty of it is that everyone can watch and enjoy the show especially if they get it right.

Given that he is the creator of this franchise, it's certainly isn't a bad thing for Filoni to still take some advice from Lucas himself, and sure enough, his opinion matters the most and has influenced the show in many ways.

Dee Bradley Baker, who voiced all the clones for the show, also shared his thoughts on the final season in a previous interview. He says that it's "wonderful" that Lucas' involvement now comes to final fruition and how it'll be a "very unique finishing moment" for both the story and Lucas' legacy.
