Star Wars fans have a lot to look forward today. The long-awaited seventh season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is making its debut on Disney+ and it looks fans can expect some pretty great changes to the series.
Speaking in an interview with Indie Wire,Star Wars: The Clone Wars showrunner Dave Filoni talks about some of the updates fans are going to notice in the seventh season of the series. It's been quite a while since fans have seen the last batch of episodes of the critically-acclaimed Star Wars animated series ā season six came out way back in February 2014.
According to Filoni, fans are going to see some major graphical upgrades in season seven of The Clone Wars. The showrunner and his team had quite some time to make use of new tech in creating other Star Wars shows like Rebels and it looks like we're going to see the same advancement in the next batch of episodes of The Clone Wars.
"It wasn't simple, it's not like we just go down and turn the āClone Wars' machine on again," the showrunner told Indie Wire.
"Some things get easier, but you're pushing the boundaries in other ways," Filoni went on, "You find ways to be more efficient and achieve things with the number of clones we could put on the battlefield, while some types of effects and rendered textures have also changed. Overall, it's not easier, but there are more possibilities."
That's great news. Fans can expect epic lightsaber fights and battles in the last season of The Clone Wars.
There's a whole lot of excitement over the series. Not only are fans are going to see the Seige of Mandalore, but they'll also see the continuation of the story of the Jedi, the Clones, and more importantly, the highly anticipated battle between Darth Maul and Ahsoka Tano.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 premieres today, February 21.
