Star Wars: The Clone Wars Has Proven Obi-Wan Kenobi as the Dumbest Jedi

Obi-Wan Kenobi might be an easy fan-favorite, however, in Star Wars movies and in the Clone Wars series, Anakin Skywalker has often made fun of the Jedi Knight, pointing out how he really isn't the sharpest tool in the Jedi shed.

Now that The Clone Wars has come to an end, Comic Book Resources can't help but point out how the seventh season of the series proves that Obi-Wan really might be the dumbest Jedi in the Star Wars franchise.

In the episode The Phantom Apprentice, Obi-Wan makes contact with Ahsoka and Rex on Mandalore. The Jedi Knight informs the two that Anakin has killed Dooku, and now the Jedi Council has tasked his former apprentice with the mission of spying on Chancellor Palpatine.

Ahsoka is surprised. The former Jedi padawan doesn't understand why the Jedi Council would assign that sort of mission to Anakin knowing that her master and Palpatine have been close with one another. Obi-Wan tells Ahsoka that it has to do with Darth Sidious. Apparently, the Jedi believe that the Chancellor might be playing both sides of the conflict.

It seems like Obi-Wan really can't put the puzzle together, oblivious to Palpatine's true identity as Darth Sidious. This ignorance proves just how dense Obi-Wan can be. The absurdity of the Jedi Knight's ignorance becomes even more clear when Ahsoka confesses that she already knows that Sidious has been controlling both sides of the conflict.

Of course, Obi-Wan's slow-wittedness might be annoying at times, but all great heroes need a flaw.

Ewan McGregor is set to reprise his role as everyone's favorite Jedi Knight in Obi-Wan Kenobi. The series has yet to receive a release date, but we'll update fans as soon as we get word.
