Star Wars: The Clone Wars 'Dangerous Debt' Sets Up Ahsoka’s Future in The Mandalorian

For the past few weeks, Star Wars fans have seen Ahsoka return in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It's been a successful return for the fan-favorite character. The last time that the former Jedi padawan appeared in the Star Wars animated series was in the season five episode The Wrong Jedi, an episode where Ahsoka decides to leave the Jedi Order. Now, in the most recent chapter of The Clone Wars, fans get to see a few hints at Ahsoka's possible future in the hit Star Wars live-action series, The Mandalorian.

The episode "Dangerous Debt" has Ahsoka and the Martez sisters captured by the Pyke Syndicate on the planet Oba Diah (via ComicBook.com). Towards the end of the episode, three Mandalorians appear to observe Ahsoka and her friends wreck havoc while escaping the Pykes. Bo-Katan Kryze, one of the Mandalorians, wonders if Ahsoka is the very same Jedi that she managed to meet on the planet of Carlac.

This connection to Bo-Katan Kryze, the sister of Duchess Satine (the previous ruler of Mandalore), may end up being the link that Ahsoka has to The Mandalorian. There have been reports suggesting that Lucasfilm is casting Marvel Netflix star Rosario Dawson as the live-action version of Ahsoka in Jon Favreau's critically-acclaimed Star Wars series. Though Lucasfilm has yet to confirm the reports, Star Wars fans are more than excited to see Ahsoka make her way to The Mandalorian. Imagine Ahsoka meeting Baby Yoda. Now, wouldn't that be a treat.

The eighth episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 7 is set to premiere on Friday on Disney+.
