The seventh and final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is coming to a close with three more episodes remaining. The latest episode, "Old Friends Not Forgotten" has set the stage for the long-awaited Siege of Mandalore, and ultimately the end of the series. However, a tweet from Lucasfilm Animation's Gianni Aliotti gives a glimmer of hope for fans wanting more episodes and seasons of the show.

Aliotti, Lighting and FX Supervisor, recently took to Twitter to thank the fans in loving and supporting their work for the Star Wars animated show. "Keep loving them and we'll keep making more," he wrote, accompanied by a smiley face, which got the fans thinking that there'll be more Clone Wars episode.

While it's certainly a cool thought, it's unlikely that there'll be more episodes or seasons of The Clone Wars since it is actually the final one. However, there could be other related content that the studio has yet to release, such as animated shorts, or maybe even spin-offs. Needless to say, fans are looking forward to other scenes in animated form, some even mentioned specific ones they'd love to see.

Though Aliotti isn't seemingly teasing more episodes, he did tease what's to come in the next episode, which he claims is the "best" Clone Wars episode yet.

What do you think Aliotti meant by "making more?" Share your thoughts in the comments below!
