Star Wars: The Clone Wars Actress Says Siege of Mandalore is Important to Skywalker Saga

There is little doubt that Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 is already setting up the Siege of Mandalore. After all, it's the biggest battle that takes place before the events in Revenge of the Sith. However, it looks like the fight to reclaim Mandalore from Maul is more than just an excuse for more action sequences. Ashley Eckstein has revealed that the Siege is actually an important part of the Skywalker Saga.

Eckstein was recently a guest on the Comicbook Nationpodcast where she admitted she is aware that people are already begging to see the Siege of Mandalore.

"I've been reading a lot of people's comments and everyone wants to make the jump to the Siege of Mandalore," Eckstein said. "I mean, we've been waiting for that ever since Clone Wars was canceled at the end of Season 5."

Luckily, we already know that Ahsoka Tano will be a major part of the Siege and that she survives the fight.

"Thankfully, because of Star Wars Rebels we know that Ahsoka lives, we know that she survives but we don't know how or why or what happened. So I had all those same questions. So I understand why everyone wants to jump straight to it," Eckstein continued.

Interestingly, Eckstein revealed that there is another reason why fans should look forward to the epic battle other than just seeing Ahsoka reunited with Captain Rex and facing off against Maul. "You really need the Siege of Mandalore to understand everything that happens in the Skywalker saga," Eckstein said. "It's pretty incredible."

Wow, now that truly has us excited about the final season. Needless to say, fans are already looking forward to the epic conclusion of The Clone Wars Season 7.

A new episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 airs on Disney+ every Friday.
