There's been a lot of excitement building up over Star Wars: Squadrons. Sure, the videogame might not have the same content size as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order or Star Wars Battlefront, but EA's upcoming Star Wars space combat videogame still has a lot to offer the Star Wars fanbase. Developed by Motive Studios, EA's new game is set after events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and allows gamers to take control of ships either from the Galactic Empire or from the New Republic Navy.

Star Wars: Squadrons offers gamers a classic space dogfight with detailed graphics and with great customization options. As players earn experience playing the game, they're offered the opportunity to unlock new shields, weapons, upgrades, and cosmetic items for their ship and for their pilot.

Last weekend, EA announced bonuses for gamers interested in pre-ordering the game. Gamers interested in nabbing a copy of Squadrons early are going to get additional cosmetic items for their starfighters and pilots including an Imperial Ace Flight Suit and a New Republic Flightsuit. They'll also get a starfighter skin for each of the New Republic starfighter classes and for the Imperial Ace side.

Star Wars: Squadrons is set for release on October 2, 2020.
