Star Wars Skywalker Saga Novel Confirmed For September Release

Fans already know that the story of Luke Skywalker will end with Star Wars: Episode IX. However, there's still some great news this year. Delilah S. Dawson has just confirmed that she has written a new novel The Skywalker Saga and it's set for a September release.

Dawson announced the book and its publication date on her official Instagram account. Take a look at the post below.

The Star Wars Phasma author also revealed some interesting details about the new novel on Twitter.

"THE SKYWALKER SAGA is going to be the most exquisitely bound Star Wars storybook you can imagine, with gorgeous art by Brian Rood and words by me, retelling Episodes I through VIII through the eyes of the Skywalkers themselves. We're talking SPACE FAIRYTALE style," Dawson wrote.

Interestingly, Dawson makes a point to leave Episode IX out of the book. The writer also stated that the novel will not have any spoilers from the upcoming Star Wars flick.

"My darlings, there are no spoilers here. I watched the same movies you did. I don't have secret information. Inheritance doesn't have to rely on blood. Ben Solo is a product of his mother, his mentor, his grandfather. Rey is called by Luke's saber. That's enough for me," she wrote.

Needless to say, The Skywalker Saga is a great way to revisit Luke's story before everything ends in Episode IX. Hopefully, we'll also get some insight on Anakin Skywalker and his eventual turn to the Dark Side as Darth Vader.

Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be available starting September 3. Star Wars: Episode IX will hit theaters on December 20.
