Aside from the vague logline, the plot details regarding Star Wars: Skeleton Crew are currently under wraps.

Lucasfilm confirmed when they announced the series that it is set in the same time frame as Ahsoka and The Mandalorian in the New Republic era.

The details surrounding the characters are also under wraps except that Law will be playing a Force user.

Recently, a merch leak unveiled our first look at the four young characters that will be leading the series alongside Law's Force user.

There are also rumors that Skeleton Crew will explore the new universe that was introduced in Ahsoka and there might be a crossover between the two shows, but Lucasfilm has not confirmed the claims.

While the confirmed plot details are currently vague, Ford teased in an interview that the series will be a "fun adventure" for the viewers.

"Skeleton Crew's tone is an adventure. We wanted it to be a lot of fun. But of course, along with adventure comes the downside of it, which is danger. And when the kids are in danger, it's extra fraught. So we played with that, but overall we wanted it to be just a fun adventure," he said.

"Hopefully it can be for all ages. When we told Kathy Kennedy about that we wanted to go for that Amblin tone, which she perfected over the years, what she would say is that they never thought of those as movies for kids. They just happen to be about kids, a story of a kid going on an adventure. So it could be for anyone."

When is Skeleton Crew Coming Out?

So far, Lucasfilm has not set an official release date for Skeleton Crew.

Watts recently revealed that the series is targeting to premiere this Christmas season, making it a holiday offering for Star Wars fans.

We will likely hear an official word regarding its premiere date closer to the holiday season.
