Star Wars: Skeleton Crew co-creator Christopher Ford recently teased that the upcoming series will introduce a "new kind of Jedi" through Jude Law's character.

The highly-anticipated Star Wars series will focus on a group of young characters and a mysterious Force-user named Jod Na Nawood (played by Oscar nominee Jude Law) in an adventure set in the MandoVerse timeline.

As we're heading to its premiere before the end of the year, fans have been wondering how Law's Force-user character will play out in the series and whether he has connections with the other well-known Jedi.

In a recent interview, Ford teased that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew will introduce a new kind of Jedi that the franchise has never explored.

While he didn't reveal more details about Law's character Jod Na Nawood, he shared that the idea came up while talking with Dave Filoni during the series's inception.

"[Filoni] gets both sides of that because he did that [mentoring under] George Lucas," the writer said.

"So he gets that thing of, ā€˜I want to make a whole new kind of a Jedi,ā€™ and then someone being like, ā€˜Okay, hold on. A lot of people have thought about this. Let's do this the right way.ā€™ And it's so helpful."

This is an intriguing tease for fans as it looks like they will expand the Jedi mythology in fresh ways that we've never seen before, and it's interesting to see what they have in store for that.

It poses the question of whether Law's character will have some connection to the legacy Jedi characters or holds a key detail that the other MandoVerse shows are trying to resolve.

For now, let's wait and see how they'll explore this "new kind of Jedi" and whether it will have ramifications for the rest of the franchise.
