Star Wars Series The Mandalorian Adds Nick Nolte In Mystery Role


The cast of Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian has just added yet another talented star. Veteran actor Nick Nolte has been cast in a mystery role in the highly anticipated Star Wars series.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Head Full of Honey star will be joining former Game of Thrones actor Pedro Pascal in the new Disney+ show. Deadpool actress Gina Carano was previously confirmed to appear in the series as well. In the meantime, Nolte's role is still a mystery. Nevertheless, fans believe the Prince of Tides star might portray a mentor to the lead character.

Nolte is certainly a surprising choice for Favreau's show. Nevertheless, it might confirm that The Mandalorian will be heavy on the grit and drama. We're certainly looking forward to learning more about the series.

The synopsis for The Mandalorian reads as follows:

"After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic."

The new Star Wars series is already boasting of an amazing cast and crew. In addition to its talented stars, the premiere episode will be directed by Star Wars: The Clone Wars showrunner Dave Filoni. Other directors include Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom's Bryce Dallas Howard and Taika Waititi of Thor: Ragnarok.

The Mandalorian is expected to air on Disney+ in late 2019.
