Star Wars fans might be loving Star Wars: The Mandalorian with Pedro Pascal's cool bounty hunter keeping an eye out on the ever-adorable Baby Yoda, but the first season of the series is coming to an end this month. What will everyone be left with then?
Though Lucasfilm is yet to announce the official release dates for its other Star Wars projects on Disney+, it seems like we have new details about the studio's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story spinoff series. The series is set to focus on the covert adventures of Diego Luna's Captain Cassian Andor and now, according to a new report making the rounds online, the Rogue One spinoff may actually explore a much earlier time in the history of the hero's connection with the Rebel Alliance.
According to Discussing Film, we may get to see how and why Cassian joins the Rebellion, and at such a young age.
"It seems we are going to see why he joined this fight at such a young age. Lucasfilm is currently eyeing to cast nine-year-old and 13-year-old versions of Cassian Andor. Lucasfilm is also eyeing to cast a nine-year-old sister of Cassian Andor's," the site writes.
Though we advise readers to take this report with a grain of salt until we get official confirmation from Lucasfilm, it does seem likely that the series will explore how Cassian ends up with the Rebellion. What good would the series be if it didn't explore the character's origin?
What is certain though is that Luna is set to reprise his role as Captain Cassian Andor while Alan Tudyk is also set to return to play the droid, K-2SO.
