Star Wars: Rey Refines Her Jedi Mind Trick in New The Rise of Skywalker Spot

We watch Rey use the Jedi mind trick on a stormtrooper Daniel Craig in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and it looks like she'll be using it again for The Rise of Skywalker. A new spot has just been released for the film, and it has Rey using her Force powers on some unsuspecting troopers.

What's cool is, she actually waves her hand just like Obi-Wan does when he first introduced us to the trick. It's also funny how Poe looks at Rey do it and is immediately concerned if she could to it to him and Finn as well.

Since Daniel Craig had been disguised as a stormtrooper in the first movie, I have a feeling that the trooper that Rey tricks in this clip is also someone famous. The latest special look we had for the film had teased Ed Sheeran in a trooper outfit, so I'm guessing it could be him in this clip. I can only guess who else is underneath the outfit of the second trooper.

Knowing how some Star Wars fans can be toxic, I can imagine a lot of people finding out something wrong with this scene somehow. I can't even imagine why some people would be outraged that Finn and Poe would be shocked to see flying stormtroopers from the last clip. I mean, sure they had already seen those in the comics, but this is the first time the movie audience gets to see them; it's just a throwaway line that doesn't really merit any outrage—to me, at least.

Catch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in theaters Dec. 20.
