Star Wars fans might know very little about Poe Dameron's (Oscar Isaac) origin, but it looks like Star Wars may have just revealed how the sequel trilogy actor ties together with the original Star Wars trilogy.
In the Star Wars novel, Resistance Reborn there was a significant reveal. The book covers a whole lot of the aftermath of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, showing what Leia (Carrie Fisher), Finn (John Boyega), Poe, Rey (Daisy Ridley), Rose (Kelly Marie Tran), Chewie and the others have been up to after the big fight between the Resistance and the First Order on Crait (via Digital Spy).
Searching for sympathetic friends after The Last Jedi, Poe and the rest of the members of the resistance realize the members of the group have begun disappearing from the franchise. While to book panics over the revelation that the Resistance is having some sort of trouble before The Rise of Skywalker, the book reveals the return of Snap Wexley (Greg Grunberg), Kare Kun, and another familiar pilot, Wedge Antilles.
Star Wars fans might not have seen Wedge for a very long, long time, but it looks like the ace Rebellion pilot has actually been fighting for the Resistance. He's also been training Poe Dameron, linking the Resistance Fighter to Lucasfilm's Star Wars trilogy.
