The Star Wars franchise continues to expand with a new publishing initiative that's set around 200 years before the Skywalker Saga. While the stories will introduce an unexplored era, a familiar face has been confirmed to join The High Republic.

StarWars.com revealed that Yoda will be featured on the publishing epic, prominently in Daniel Jose Older's Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures comic. The comic will follow a slightly younger version of Yoda and explore what he has been doing at the time.

As seen in the concept art below, there's not much of a difference in the character's design. Though there are some subtle changes to show that he's much younger, around 700 years old to be exact, as opposed to the 900-year-old Yoda we met in The Phantom Menace.

"It's especially exciting to be able to introduce him in the era of the High Republic," Older says. "The High Republic Yoda is a journeyman out in the galaxy."

Readers will meet Yoda in The High Republic Adventures series as he looks out and teaches young Padawans traveling around the galaxy to learn the ways of the Jedi. He'll have a "hands-on approach" on the "Force study abroad program" per se.

The High Republic books are certainly something to look forward to, with the addition of Yoda to the publishing series, we can't wait to learn more about the golden age of the Jedi.

Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures comic arrives in 2021.
