Star Wars Republic Commando is Arriving on PS4, Nintendo Switch

Star Wars: Republic Commando will be coming to the Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch. It was officially announced by Aspyr. The game was previously released in 2005 for both PC and Xbox platforms. This will be the first time that it will be available to play on the PlayStation consoles, as well as the Switch.

Star Wars: Republic Commando was modernized in various ways in the upcoming release. This makes players excited for the upcoming changes as it will be playable on the PlayStation 5 console through backward compatibility.

Aspyr has confirmed the game's upcoming release in April and planned the platforms in the PlayStation blog post, Twitter, and the company's website. For people unfamiliar with the original release, the PlayStation blog discussion was the primer of what can be expected from the base experience.

Players can control clones which are led by Delta Squad leader RC-1138, which is the player. The player can issue special commands to the team through coordinated efforts, as well as complete missions.

For the PlayStation 4 and 5 controllers, the game received updated controls that match the modern hardware. Aspyr said that they respect the classic but updated the controls for the game because it feels "just right."

For players who are trophy hunters, you will have some unique tasks that tackle on the PlayStation version of the game. This includes a Platinum trophy as well, which means that it can add to the collection if you are able to get all of the Star Wars Republic Commando's trophies.

Star Wars: Republic Commando will be launched on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on April 6.
