An official title has reportedly been set for Daisy Ridley's upcoming Star Wars movie after months of speculation.
Last year, Lucasfilm officially announced that they are working on a new Star Wars movie that will bring back Ridley to reprise her iconic role of Rey and set years after the events of The Rise of Skywalker.
So far, the plot details regarding the new film are being kept under wraps, but the project has been referred to as the "New Jedi Order" movie and there have been various reports about its alleged title.
Daisy Ridley's New Star Wars Movie Reportedly Titled as "A New Beginning"
A recent production listing has claimed that Ridley's new Star Wars movie will be titled "A New Beginning."
They reported that the "New Jedi Order" name was just a working title for the project, but "A New Beginning" will be the movie's official title. It is also being referred to as "Episode X."
The project is also allegedly set to begin production later this year at Pinewood Studios in London and pre-production is already underway.
It will utilize "a mix of real-world settings and advanced studio environments to bring the galaxy far, far away to life" and "cutting-edge technology, including the latest in CGI and practical effects, will be employed to maintain the high visual standards of the franchise."
So far, Lucasfilm has not confirmed the claims that were made in the production listing report.
If "A New Beginning" does end up being the official title of the project, it suggests that it won't be a direct continuation of the story that we've seen in the Skywalker Saga and will explore new territory as they enter the New Jedi Order era.
It could also invite new audiences to the movie since they will seemingly tackle a new mythology and it is interesting what kind of storyline they'll come up in Rey's new journey as a Jedi Master.
For now, let's wait for any confirmed details from Lucasfilm regarding the project soon, but we are seeing promising signs that it is coming to fruition.
